About Debra Penrice

Small businesses often find it hard to create marketing content regularly to promote their services – whenever they’re busy, marketing slips to the bottom of the list. Most SME’s have plenty of loyal, happy customers but are short of time to celebrate their successes and reflect those wins in their marketing messages. Yet telling these stories is the perfect way to reach your ideal audience and attract potential new clients. More and more people are relying on online recommendations before they buy – 85% of people trust online reviews – and for business services, a case study is a great way to show your customers’ authentic experience.

If your goal is to attract new clients and grow your business, I’m here to help by developing your business case studies and writing marketing content. Speaking to your clients gives greater insight into their needs; your marketing will build greater trust by reflecting your true strengths by being based on projects you’ve already delivered.

As a freelance marketing consultant based in Bristol, I work remotely or on-site with business owners or the marketing manager to plan your client case study programme and build a content marketing plan which flows easily. I’m a partner writer with Case Study Ninja, who provides software to store your case study assets, so we work as a team when you need an international case study program.

I trained in professional copywriting with the IDM and CIM after my BA Hons in Marketing and German from De Montfort University.  I left my home in the seaside town of Whitstable, travelling west to settle in Bristol over fourteen years ago. I love learning about new technologies – and am proud to belong to Bristol’s Women’s Tech Hub and work with several software as a service (SaaS) clients.

Why number 27?

Many people hold the number 27 in high esteem. It’s been a favourite of mine since the 1980’s from a house in Collingwood Road.

I chose it for the company name, because I often quote “if we can come up with 27 ideas, at least one will be an excellent one.”

My approach

I enjoy exploring small businesses’ core strengths and helping them share their successes. I’ll happily talk to end customers, using their feedback in case studies to tell your story.

I’ll write on behalf of your business, yet also help you take a longer term view of your marketing plan.

“Debra is very knowledgeable, efficient and focused… She explains things in simple terms, we weren’t blinded by marketing jargon!”
